Confused with PUNK

Yesterday I posted regarding the “punkiest” looks at the Met Gala 2013 (Punk: from chaos to couture). Today I wrote a bonus post on the “borest” looks at the same event.

Allow me to show you some pictures and explain myself; and let me add that I was surprised to see so many musicians on this list.

The pink misinterpretation:

It seems that Gwyneth Paltrow (Valentino), Anna Wintour (Chanel) and Elettra Rossellini Wiedermann (Prabal Gurung), misinterpreted the idea of Pink being the color of Punk.

The boring ones:

Kate Upton (Dianne von Furstenberg), Kylie Minogue (Moschino) and Nikki Minaj (Tommy Hilfiger), were simply boring. I think the theme was awesome! And I can’t believe that they wasted the chance to wear an outrageous outfit!

The wrong place - wrong event:

Two women got confused with the event. I liked their dresses but I still think they had nothing to do with the event’s theme! Katie Holmes (Calvin Klein), Beyonce (Givenchy) and Uma Thurman (Zac Posen). To tell you the truth I expected a “punkiest” look from Beyonce; her dress was just confusing.

The underwhelming looks:

They kinda tried, but I thought they could have gone further:  Alicia Keys (Jason Wu design) and Gwen Stefani (Maison Martin Margiela). Gwen Stefani has pulled off amazing crazy looks before, so this was just underwhelming, the dress is beautiful but I think it was a missed opportunity.

WTF!!!

Ashley Olsen (Dior), Kristen Stewart (Stella McCartney) and Kim Kardashian (Givenchy). No further comments on this category.
