The embarrassing Grammy's dress code

I know I am kinda late with this but, am I the only who thinks having the CBS publishing a dress code for this year Grammy’s was embarrassing?
I’ve been thinking about it for a while, and the more I think about it the more I feel embarrassed, is like when your mom yells at you in front of the entire school.

I think that being a celebrity must be tough, they are always competing with one and other in order to get publicity, and of course at this events all they want is to be photographed. Even if they turn out to be at the worst dressed lists, it’s all about the attention, “there is no such thing as bad publicity” right? But shouldn’t they be showing off their talent instead their buttocks?
Of course some celebrities are famous just for being famous, and have no talents to show off, like Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, Alexis Neiers, Brody Jenner, Tila Tequila and Courtenay Semel (this list can go on and on, :s). This last kind of celebrity is always looking to show the most skin or making a huge scandal, in order to get attention and appearance in the tabloids. But there are some other celebrities that don’t need to strip down their clothes in order to shine and capture audience.
Anyhow watching some pictures of older Grammy editions you can see why CBS made this request, it was almost the polite way of saying please stop turning the Grammy’s into striptease club.

Lady Gaga performing at 2010 Grammy's
She has a camel toe for crying out loud! (No further comments)

JLO 2000 Grammy's (although I wish I had the body to pull this off)

Christina Aguilera 2013 Grammy's
This is what she wore even with the dress code, I mean she won a Grammy not because of her cleavage but because of her amazing voice!

Rihanna 2011 Grammy's
She is really talented, did she need to go almost nude to make a statement?

Nadeea 2010 Grammy's
I have no idea who she is, something like a Russian singer... anyway she is actually bending over to show her booty. I guess she does needs this.

Toni Braxton 2001 Grammy's
ohh well...

Tracy Bingham 2001
She is an actress who appeared on Baywatch, no wonder she needs this too.
